Normally the room village of Sundarban is neglected from all corner, specially this people are deprived from education, income generation, vocational training etc.In the ancient times it was exploited by the Mahajans, Aratdar etc. The nature of the exploitation was the same character, through the freedom comes but not the economic freedom comes to the people, and thus the people are very much oppressed, with the timings the rain assise came in some youth and they think that we have to do something for the people & the society formed in the name of Shibkali Nagar (N) Welfare Society at its Shibkalinagar, situated at Sundarban in the Block of Kakdwip, South 24 parganas.
Basically the people depends on the agriculture & sea fishing , the area are monocropped area. This people have no alternative. They are sometimes migrated for their livelihood, due to sustain the development effort. This organisation brings into a legal platform of its W.B. registration 1961 & also registered under the F.C.R.A. Govt. of India.
Due to extend its activities of Shibkali Nagar(N) Welfare Society one of its activities has been shifted from Sundarban to Garia for its better communication with different Dept. & like minded people for its generation. This organisation is not only registered but also having registration on 12A,80G for its exemption of Income Tax, Govt. of India.
To journey of our last two decades we got full support & cooperation from Govt. Department, P.R.I. member, local well wishes, target people for uphold our activities to bring the main streaming of the destitute children. We are looking forward to the concerned department for their co-operation. We are also acknowledge to our Governing Body, Executive committee & Advisory board who always support & co-operate us for the developmental action in the target areas. We do also hope that we will proceed very much in the next future for the interest of people as well involvement of the council.
